Relational Therapy
Relational therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the client's relationships and interactions with others, especially in the context of past and present relationships. This therapy emphasizes the importance of connection, communication, and trust in the therapeutic relationship to address emotional and psychological difficulties. Some clinical modalities that fall under the umbrella of relational therapy include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment-based therapy, Interpersonal therapy (IPT), and Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT).
These modalities aim to explore the patterns and dynamics of clients' relationships with others and help them develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Relational therapy is helpful for individuals, couples, and families dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship problems.

Therapists who offer relational therapy often work with their clients to identify and address the underlying emotional and relational issues contributing to their difficulties.
