LGBTQ+ Issues

A therapist specializing in LGBTQ+ - related issues provides counseling and therapy services to individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, or other non-heterosexual and non-cisgender identities. The therapist may focus on many concerns and challenges specific to LGBTQ+ individuals, such as coming out, discrimination, prejudice, family rejection, relationship issues, gender dysphoria, and other mental health issues.

The therapist may also work with couples or families to address communication and relationship issues related to LGBTQ+ identities. The therapist would aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space for LGBTQ+ clients to explore their experiences, emotions, and goals.
