About Kathleen
Meet Kathleen (She/Her). A lifelong curiosity about what helps people heal, grow, and ultimately flourish has shaped Kathleen's personal and professional journey.
As a Colombian adoptee raised in a predominantly white and affluent community, Kathleen became aware of questions surrounding identity, belonging, culture, and privilege long before she had the language to describe them. Those early experiences shaped the way she sees people today: with curiosity, humility, and a deep appreciation for the many influences that shape our lives and relationships.
Over the years, that curiosity led her in many directions. Since graduating with a double bachelors in neuroscience and psychology, Kathleen has dedicated over fifteen years to supporting others through community-based advocacy, coaching, crisis intervention, and mentoring. Across each chapter of her career, one belief has remained constant: people are far more than the challenges that bring them into the room. Given the right environment, meaningful relationships, and the opportunity to better understand themselves, people have an extraordinary capacity for growth.
Kathleen's approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and strengths-based. She strives to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood while also feeling gently challenged to explore new perspectives, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
She is especially interested in working with individuals navigating anxiety, identity development, life transitions, self-esteem, adult ADHD and executive functioning, workplace stress and burnout, and relationship concerns. Kathleen is LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink-affirming, and committed to creating an inclusive environment where clients feel seen, heard and free to bring their whole self into the therapeutic relationship.
Outside of the therapy room, Kathleen remains passionate about building stronger communities and expanding access to opportunities that help people discover their own resilience, agency, and potential. Her goal as a counselor is to offer a safe space where people can reconnect with themselves and cultivate a life of authenticity.
