About Esther
Meet Esther, a psychotherapist in training.
For her, therapy starts with creating an open, accepting environment where clients feel heard, have space to reflect and can make positive changes in their lives.
Esther is particularly interested in supporting adults navigating midlife transitions such as changing relationships, shifting identities, and an empty nest. Having worked as a television producer for 20 years, she also understands the pressures of demanding careers and burnout. For the past three years, she has volunteered with The Trevor Project, supporting LGBTQ+ young people in distress. She is curious about the ways culture, identity and background shape people’s lives, including how inequality and discrimination can influence their experiences and mental health.
Esther is studying for a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University. She is interested in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, loneliness and relationship challenges. She plans to take an integrative approach influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems, adapting therapy to each client’s individual needs.
In her spare time, Esther travels, dances, does yoga and determinedly attempts to learn Spanish.
