Psychotherapist
About Abbey
Meet Abbey, a psychotherapist who is dedicated to creating a non-judgmental space to support individuals in exploring their feelings, dreams, fears, and desires.
Using a warm, relational approach, her practice is rooted in a psychodynamic framework. Abbey is especially attuned to noticing how our past experiences, our intersectional identities, and the systems in which we live shape how we relate to others and how we see ourselves. With a background in music and writing, they are passionate about the therapeutic powers of creativity and play, understanding that some things may be more easily expressed and processed through art. They also draw on techniques from parts-work and narrative therapy to encourage insight and self-acceptance.
Abbey is LGBTQIA+ affirming and kink and sex positive. Through curiosity and care, she focuses her clinical work on those exploring their identities and navigating nontraditional relationship structures, as well as individuals who are open to self-discovery and curious about challenging norms. They believe this work is collaborative, that trust is crucial, and that each person is the expert in their own life.
A Licensed Master Social Worker, Abbey received their MSW from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2026. She is committed to her own clinical growth and ongoing learning through continued education and trainings.
