About Christina
Meet Christina Barnes. Christina is a compassionate and skilled psychotherapist dedicated to
helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their strengths. As both a
mom of two and military veteran with extensive experience in behavioral analysis, Christina
understands the complexities of personal struggles, parenting, trauma, and difficult relationships.
She brings a unique blend of lived experience, empathy, and therapeutic expertise to her work,
offering clients a space that is both safe and empowering.
Specializing in trauma-centered therapy, Christina is experienced in using Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and heal from painful
experiences. She is also skilled in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, which aids clients in
understanding and embracing all parts of themselves. Her work with couples centers on
strengthening communication and connection, drawing on her deep understanding of human
behavior and relationships. Christina has also facilitated process groups focused on women’s issues
during challenging times in our country.
Christina guides clients in uncovering their inner resilience and healing potential. She believes that
trauma doesn’t just affect what happens to us; it changes us from the inside. By creating a
supportive, non-judgmental environment, she empowers clients to confront and move beyond their
pain, embracing a renewed sense of peace, happiness, and purpose.
